Killybegs - Photo Gallery & What to do guide
The town of Killybegs itself is a busy thriving seaport. It is the fishing capital
of Ireland and is also one of the most progressive ports in the world. In May
2004 the new €55million pier development was officially opened in Killybegs.
This new harbour brought added custom to the town, including the arrival of
the summer cruise ships travelling from America to Spain and stopping over in this port.
It is renowned for its angling and leisure boating and offers a wide range of
activities to suit all tastes and ages such as walking, hill walking, golfing;
sub aqua diving, and much more. It has a number of hotels, restaurants and
bars with a bustling nightlife to cater for all ages.
